So... I guess you want to know who I am and why I'm so crazy about Vicious. (Or if I'm just plain crazy...)

I'm a well-traveled person, being an Army brat. I love to read, watch movies, work on my websites, and talk to my friends, not necessarily in that order. I live in rural Texas with a friend and a bunch of animals. I believe in God but also in the souls of animals and the spirits of Nature. I have a full time job as a secretary. I've published a short story. My favorite food is chocolate, my favorite drink is beer, my favorite kind of music is movie soundtracks. I loathe ignorant, intolerant people, cruelty to animals, and the word "utilize". That pretty well covers it, I guess. As far as anime and Cowboy Bebop are concerned, first let me state that I'm a fan of animation of all kinds. I run a site called Animated Lust (Rated PG!) where those who lust after animated characters can come and be welcomed, and not be looked on as kooks. (Interested? It's on the Links page.) Until recently, I hadn't seen much anime, but a good friend forced me to watch Slayers, and from then on, I was hooked. I have yet to see an anime I didn't like, but so far my favorites are Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, .hack//SIGN, and Slayers.

Bebop is by far my favorite, however, and Spike Spiegel is my favorite, most lusted after anime guy. (He's followed closely by Seijuro Hiko of Rurouni Kenshin.) When I first watched Bebop, I hated Vicious! Hated him, loathed him, wanted to jump on his grave!! Any Spike-lovers out there will understand, I'm sure. So how in the heck did I end up building this shrine to the guy? Long story...

Although I hated him, I couldn't stop thinking about him. He and Spike had been friends. He had once been a decent guy. He'd once had Julia. What the heck happened to him? Also, I admired him. Sure, he doesn't have the nicest philosophy of life, but he's brilliant and has a lot of courage. Then there's sex appeal. When he wasn't looking demonic or in bad need of a hair-washing, or both, he was actually very attractive. Even... sexy.

To work out my thoughts, I began a story about him, Prelude (it's on the fanfiction/fan art page of this site). The more I wrote, the more hooked I got. I now call him my Dark Muse, because I can't seem to let the story go.

And why this shrine? This shrine started as a fanlisting for Vicious, which I created for fun while waiting for approval. I wasn't approved, someone else got there first, but I didn't destroy the files. Perhaps I had this in mind all along? I dunno. But recently I set up a site for Prelude, and after that, it seemed like a good time to think about creating this shrine. So I checked Anime Turnpike and did a Google search for other shrines to Vicious, so I didn't repeat anything.

I found none. Can you believe it? None!
