My Sheltie, Molly, had to be put down Tuesday. Kidney failure. She was the sweetest, most good-natured dog ever, with a cute flyaway ear and soulful dark eyes that always seemed to be saying, "I'm starving, Mom." I loved her so much, and the house seems empty without her.

I'm so sorry to hear that Kat. That kinda reminds me when Carly was dying. Although we didn't put her to sleep, she did suffer quite a bit. Crying or Very sad

Now that I think of it, I wish we did put her to sleep so that she didn't suffer like she did. Crying or Very sad

Dear heavens, not another pet..... You have had a very bad year or two, between horses, cats, and now your dog. You don't know how badly I wish I could do something to help -- and there is nothing, is there? Except to tell you how much I wish I could be there for real to help, if only by handing you kleenex when you cried.

I'm sure you don't mind more hugs! I've had to put down two cats whom I love very dearly, so I know how you must feel. It's really really hard. Be easy on yourself.
