Hard to say. Most of my favorite bands tend to at some point branch into a direction I don't like so much. I guess They Might Be Giants and The Blue Nile have been pretty consistently good, from what I've heard of their stuff.

My favorite harmony group is probably Evan and Jaron. My favorite adult contemporary is hands down Train. My favorite alternative is Incubus. My favorite rock is Megadeth. My favorite classic rock is Beatles. My favorite grunge is Soundgarden. My favorite prog rock is Dragonforce. My favorite nu-metal is Tool.

My all time favourite band is maroon 5. becuase all of their songs are good and when they are live they sound exactly like they do on their cds which proves they aren't computer edited like many other bands out there.
